TOPIC: HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS
INTRODUCTION
Direction is the particular path you must take to arrive at your desired destination.
And this is very sensitive that you must involve God.
It’s what God shows you that makes you a show in your generation.
There is what eyes have not seen (revelation), what ears have not heard ( information), and what have not entered the heart of man (innovation), these are the things that God has kept for you. 1 Cor 2:9.
In Luke 5, Peter couldn’t catch a single fish until God directed him.
WHY DIVINE DIRECTION IS A VITAL NECESSITY:
Life itself is at the mercy of direction from God
People can be victims of the wrong and disastrous relationships for lack of Divine direction.
People become victims of massive losses, in investments and other areas, for failing to hear from God.
Many are victims of chronic stagnation and delay for failing to hear God.
Many are victims of labour without reward and labour in frustration because of labouring in the wrong endeavour
THE RIGHT POSTURE FOR DIVINE DIRECTION
Be desperate to know the Mind of God (Hos. 6:3; Hab. 2:1)
You can’t have insight where you don’t have interest
Desperation is key to direction.
God will not bother you with what does not bother you
Possess the quality of meekness (Ps. 25:9; Num. 12:3)
The meek is the only one qualified to be guided and to be taught.
Don’t be too proud to ask for help.
Connect to proven divine vessel for constant spiritual guide
WHAT MEEKNESS REFERS TO:
2a. Ability to be taught; teachability
2b. Ability to be corrected
2c. Ability to make a U-turn when you have made a wrong turn
When you are married to your mistakes you continue to deliver regrets.
Every time there is a mistake, where possible, there can be a retake.
Commit your steps to the Lord (Prov. 3:5-6; Ps. 37:5)
Don’t take important steps or make important moves without checking it out with the Lord
Not every good idea is a God idea; there are good ideas that are traps
If God knows that you don’t do anything without handing it over to Him, He will guide you
Possess the attitude of enquiry (the capacity to ask questions) (Jer. 6:16; Matt. 7:7-8; Ps. 2:8; Prov. 20:5)
Answers are the products of questions; until questions are asked, answers are never accessed
Don’t be afraid to ask questions because God is looking for questions to answer!
Divine direction is the backbone of spiritual OVERFLOW.
THE IMPLICATIONS OF ASKING QUESTIONS:
4a. God loves to be asked (Ps. 2:8; Matt. 7:7)
4b. Asking is proof of human helplessness and dependence on God and God will never abandon the helpless
4c. Asking opens up the mind and heart to answers (Prov. 20:5)
EXAMPLES OF QUESTIONS TO ASK GOD:
i. Lord, is there something You are saying that I am not hearing?
ii. Lord, what is the mystery behind this struggle?
iii. Lord, what is the secret to move to the next level?
Ask revelation expectation questions
Be charged with the Word of God (Eph. 5:26; Ps. 29:3)
The Word of God is the Companion of the Voice of God; the Voice of God is the Container of the Word of God
Whenever you are in touch with the Word of God, you are in touch with the Voice of God.
5a. The Word of God familiarizes a person with the Voice of God
5b. The Word of God connects you with the Person of God (John 1:1; 1 Cor. 14:10)
Pray abundantly in the Spirit (2 Tim. 1:6; Rom. 8:14; 1 Cor. 14:2, 15)
6a. Praying in the Spirit primes or stirs the activity of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim. 1:6; Rom. 8:14)
Most times God will show you things one step at a time.
Praying in the Spirit sharpens our spiritual sensitivity
6b. Praying in the Spirit helps you to tap into the frequency of mysteries (1 Cor. 14:2)
6c. Praying in the Spirit irrigates the spirit of man with information and understanding (1 Cor. 14:15)
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
Everything the devil is keeping that belongs to you shall be released right now!
I declare to you…something you have been pursuing for a long time now will be released to you!
This month, there shall be the release of documents from wherever the devil kept them!
The level of influence they said you will never attain, you will be the one to disappoint that devil!
Every burden that came with you today is over!
Every spirit of empty-handedness, failure at the edge of breakthrough, your yoke is broken!
I speak into your marital, career and financial destiny, what is yours will look for you!
I decree a new season and new openings for you!
The city of Abuja and nation of Nigeria or wherever you are shall favour you!
Step into unbelievable wealth in Jesus’ Name!
Your hands are blessed! Your hands will touch what people in your family have never touched!
I prophesy, any question you shall ask God, the answers shall rush at you!
